In it's most basic form a composite material is one which is composed of at least two elements working together to produce material properties that are different to the properties of those elements on their own. High performance composites obtain the synergistic effect of the structural reinforcement (glass, aramid or carbon) combined with an engineered resin to form a composite that has a specific strength greater than steel. Composites can be further engineered to withstand impact, be corrosion resistant, and form complex structural shapes in a monolithic laminate.
ICR uses a wet lay-up method to form 3 dimensional part shapes and post cures the part to prevent creep, which can occur as the heat of a part exceeds its heat distortion temperature. Each part is engineered for specific directional strength. ICR is committed to advancing the state of the art in aftermarket composite parts and addressing product development to meet changing customer needs. We want every part to not only look good, but to perform even better than it looks.
